When I first met Lilia eight years ago I was captivated by her power, her movement, and her long silver hair. As I got to know Lilia, a woman somewhere in her 50’s, I learned more of her healing Dolphin Dance, a form of aquatic bodywork and underwater dance she founded. When I asked Lilia her age she looked at me, raised her head and stated: “I am ageless.”

Flowing with the depth of timeless beauty, I wanted to look beyond the archetypes. Too often women are divided into the maiden, the mother, and the crone, allotting sensuality to youth and wisdom to old age. Yet a woman in her power embodies so many facets, requiring a whole lifetime to fathom.
